Grand Prix du Vin Suisse 2014
The special prizes at the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse were awarded Tuesday 21 October in Bern during the Gala du Vin Suisse.
The Charles Bonvin SA winery in Sion was named the Winery of the Year 2014. The cellar stood out among the 520 producers who presented their wines this year, thanks to 4 silver medals, 3 gold medals and 3 wines that were finalists.
The Bio-Suisee prize for the best organic wine went to Château Rochefort in Allaman, one of the prestigious domains belonging to the city of Lausanne, for its oaked Gamaret 2011.
The Vinissimo prize is given to the wine that had the highest note of the competition. The white wine prize went to Fendant de Sion les Mazots 2013 from the Maurice Gay winery in Chamoson. The red wine prize went to a Gamay, To Die For 2013, from the Vin d’œuvre winery in Leuk Stadt.
